so work was pretty boring today.
i dont know if i'll even bother to say anything about it, was kind of a non-event.
every one of my waking hours is spent thinking about macs at the moment, and being annoyed about my monitor.
for those of you who are new to my journal (oh please let there be new readers, i'd love some comments
), i ordered a 19" tft monitor a couple of weeks ago, that i've been lusting after for nigh on 5 years. i got it at the bargain price of 334 ($591). i've been planning to get myself a nice dual processor G4 for a while now, and this tft was intended to be used with that. the auction stated that the graphics card included would function on pc and mac. to cut a long story short, it didn't. it's mac only. the cards for pc are available in the states for about $70, but the shipping and customs charges would be a killer. anyway. so i dont even know if the monitor works. i need to test it with a mac. the plan is to buy one ASAP. a 400mhz graphite g4. will cost about 400 which is ok. but i can't afford it for a couple of weeks. my worry is that the monitor is fucked, and i'll find out too late to get a refund.
so finding a nice G4 is my current obsession. i've spent the last three days scouring ebay looking for bargains, and i missed one yesterday.
i'll be working full time next week, seeing as i finish my degree this friday. so i'll have a fair bit of money from that point on.
