It's been an interesting last few days.
My ex-wife, whom I'm still very close to, has been in Tokyo for the last several months. It's been a great experience for both of us, and then when the earthquakes hit, it became difficult, but we learned an awful lot.
You see, our relationship was defined by a series of incidents where something would happen, and I would run to her and protect her, and she never really learned to be independent at all. It's a long story, but this situation pretty much forced both of us to not fall into our old patterns. Put an ocean between us, and we're able to avoid that pattern.
It's been stressful, but worthwhile. Just hoping now that Godzilla doesn't awaken.
P.S. the first person who says something like this or any of these things in my presence is probably going to be in the hospital while I'm in jail. And I can't put this stuff on Facebook, because she's still there.
