Okay , I went and hung out with some friends tonight . We watched "The Grudge" , which is pretty damn scary and not a half bad movie amazingly enough , and ate pizza . Oddly enough we got onto a discussion about the Pope and his failing health . My friend brought up a really good point . The Pope is arguably the most HOLY human being on the planet , right ? He's the closest human being to God . He's the one guy pretty much GUARANTEED to go to Heaven . So WHY is he being hooked up to all of those freakin' machines to keep him from dying????? Isn't the saying "When it's your time , it's your time" ? So how come he doesn't just go ? You've got a cushy spot in Heaven just WAITING for you . Why stick around to have machines feed , breathe , and make your heart beat for you ???? It's CRAZY!!!!!! I'd be outta' here in a HEARTBEAT . Catholics are nutty .

I should also point out that this whole huge philosophical debate began because we were all tired of seeing "Popewatch" on T.V. for the last BILLION hours or so . It's just really morbid watching people wait for somebody to die on live television . Sure he's the Pope , but he's still a human being . Leave him alone . I just hope that he goes peacefully...and that he leaves me his big kick-ass pointy Pope hat . That would be awsome .
