So I had Mon. and Tues. off and really didn't do much of anything productive . Well , NEXT week will begin three weeks of strenuous work , so I think I should rest up . At least that's my excuse .
Anyway , I DID actually go see a couple of movies . I had planned on just going to see Kill Bill Vol. 2 , but I wound up arriving at the theater late . Damn theaters changing their online movie times .
Sooooooo...I thought "Hmmmm...The Punisher movie starts in five minutes . I'll check that out . " Man was THAT a bad idea . This movie just plain SUCKS . I am a fan of the comic book , but even if I wasn't , this is just a TERRIBLE movie . I won't even dignify it with one of my patented TinfoilHalo rip-fests . It's not even worth it .
Honestly I wasn't going to go see another movie for awhile after THAT cinematic abomination , but I had to get the foul memories of the Punisher out of my head . So I went to see Kill Bill Vol 2 . Now THIS movie was good . It's not really fair to say that it was better or worse than Vol 1 , because "technically" they're the same movie . It is a complete change of pace from the first part though . Vol 1 was action and blood-N-guts from start to finish . Vol 2 is more character driven than action driven . There IS action though . The fight between Uma Thurman's "Bride" and Darryl Hannah's "Elle Driver" is fucking brutal!!!!
On a related note...as evil , vile , and treacherous as Elle Driver was , Darryl Hannah has NEVER looked hotter than she does in this movie . I don't know what it is , but that evil sneer and the eyepatch just bumped her up about 1000 points on the hotness meter . And when she wore the nurse's outfit in the first one... 
I guess I just dig femme fatales .
Anyway , go see this movie . It doesn't really end the way you'd expect , but that's not necessarily a bad thing . Oh and if you're a big nerd like me and stay until the credits are done rolling you get a little bonus from the Kill Bill blooper reel .
Okay , so I leave for New Haven , CT on Monday . I probably won't have access to a computer up there , so you kids be good . And NO wild parties while I'm gone . I hate missing wild parties .
