So I celebrated my birthday by traveling up to Michigan to see one of my friends that I've known since elementary school. Had a GREAT time hanging out and playing with his new baby. Those things are just endlessly entertaining.

High points involved my birthday dinner that his wife's mom(who was also visiting) made. Seafood lasagna with Alfredo sauce!!!! SOOOOOOOO GOOD. Also enjoyed watching cheesy old monster movies in HD on his big screen TV. Humanoids From The Deep is my new favorite B movie. The MSU campus has a dairy store that makes the BESTEST ice cream on this planet Earth. On top of all that, we went to a winery and tasted a lot of tasty wines. I'm more of a beer guy, but there were a few wines that were fucking amazing.

Low points were a six hour drive, getting eaten alive by mosquitoes, and fucking up my knee playing basketball. That last one's a bitch. I'm hobbling around with a knee brace on now. Got to go to the doc's tomorrow. Hopefully it's nothing major.

Weird points were...finding a plate of lasagna sitting on the coffee table in front of where I was sleeping off my birthday night of intoxication. I don't remember getting it and nobody else brought it down. I thin k I just wished it there. Also, finding out that the dairy store at MSU makes CHOCOLATE CHEESE. Not chocolate cheese cake, but chocolate flavored cheese. It honestly might be the grossest thing that I've ever seen.

All in all it was a pretty good trip. Fun was had by all.
