Holy shit . I didn't know how long I'd have to wait to finally see it , but it happened . Although it wasn't a pretty game , and there were some terrible plays on both sides , the Black and Gold pulled off a win . Amidst the celebration Jerome "The Bus" Bettis announced his retirement after 13 amazing years of play . Nobody has earned a rest more than him . He not only was one of the greatest running backs to play the game , but a truly great man . He really did a lot for this city , and I'd like to wish him the best in whatever he decides to do after football . Thanks Bus .
Of course the Super Bowl victory had to be followed by the much anticipated drunken riots and vandalism . Way to go Oakland , you made the whole city look really great . Me and some friends went out driving around after the game to see the celebrations and pretty much everywhere was cool . Most people were just excited and happy about the game and were cheering and yelling . Oakland , and a select group of dickheads who live there , decided to set fires and flip cars over . Classy . It was cool to see an entire platoon of riot cops marching down the street and a bunch of cops on horseback chasing people . Cool in a "Wow , if this were a movie it would be awsome , but since it's happening for real in my city it fucking sucks " kind of way . Eh , what are 'ya gonna do ? There's always going to be assholes around to screw things up for the rest of us .
