Being as Halloween is coming up pretty soon , I have been in the mood to watch some good scary movies . Since Hollywood has lost its damn mind and seems to only want to put out mindless re-hashed PG-13 CRAP as of late , I've been looking to the rental places for some good stuff . I was wondering if any of you fine upstanding pillars of the community had any good recommendations ? I like everything from classics (Lugosi , Karloff , Chaney , etc. ) to low budget cheesey stuff ( Troma , Corman , even Ed Wood ) . So let me know some of your favorites .

Here's a few of mine...

VAMPIRES - Fright Night , Lost Boys , Near Dark , From Dusk 'Til Dawn

WEREWOLVES - The Howling , Dog Soldiers , American Werewolf In London , All 3 Ginger Snaps movies .

ZOMBIES - Anything by Romero , Return of the Living Dead , Re-Animator . ALL Evil Dead movies .

SLASHERS - Friday the 13th 1,2,4,maybe 5 , Halloween ( The 1st one's the only good one) , Texas Chainsaw (original) and 3's kind of good in a funny sort of way , actually most 80's slasher type movies are OK .

Those are just a few that come to mind immediately . I kind of wanted to see some more obscure flicks , so if you know of any good ones , let me know . skull

P.S. Had TWO more run-ins with suicidal animals ( See last journal for details ) . ANOTHER kamikaze deer , and a rogue turkey . Those fucking turkeys are BACK!!! They always try to get a few surprise attacks in before Thanksgiving !!!! eeek

the most obscure one I can think of is plan 9 from outerspace but most people know about that from the ed wood film
I have also seen glen or glenda but that's scary for different reasons
