So a few years ago I suffered quite a severe nervous breakdown, during which i suffered badly from psychosis and hallucinations. Anyway, during this time I actually wrote a story. its about 70,000 words long and its a bit of a jokey daft fantasy. anyway - i had a few publishing offers back then but i was too poorly to even consider it and just forgot about the whole thing.
Anyway, I recently moved house, and whilst going through my things I found a memory stick, which just so happened to have the whole thing on there.
My cousin told me I should put it on Amazon so people can download it on the kindle etc, but I have no idea where to begin with that!! Anyone here had any experience with that kind of thing?

Not myself yet, but I'm planning the same thing if I ever manage to finish something. According to some friends who have some experience with it, the Amazon programme is very easy to handle and you get most part of the selling price (about 70% ?) for yourself. Of course you have to organize the cover yourself including licenses and do all of the marketing. And I guess it's helpful to let at least two or three friends read the hole thing or hire a professional corrector.

Hire an editor independently? That's what I did and it seemed to not work out at all.
