I have a consult tomorrow with russ foxx to do some scarification. I'm super pumped, and yet terrified at the same time. I don't want to be screaming like a 13 year old girl during the process (that is the scarification, not the consult...I doubt I'll be screaming then...I hope!). As some of you know, I went thru a bad time about half a year ago and started cutting myself again. Most of the scars are now covered with ink (thanks to the ever so wonderful mike lacasse) but I still have a couple on my right thigh.

After some thought I decided to go with scarification. I'm a virgin when it comes to it but I think it'll be a good thing for me. Yeah, I cut myself, it sucked, I hated everything but now I'm on the road to recovery and what better way to cover up my past sins (scars) than with making something beautiful out of them. Hence the scarification. I decided to get a fireweed done. For those of you who don't know what it is, it's basically the one plant that can grow from anything. After the major fire in London, fireweed was the only thing that grew from the ashes. To this day, people will plant fireweed after an oil spill or any other natural/unnatural disaster to promote other plants to grow.

A beautiful flower that is able to grow and survive the most inhospitable environment ever. I have the scars from a bad time in my life and now I'm going to make something beautiful from them.
