ok,so, where do i start

i hope you all had a great christmas, channukkuh, new years, everything, did you get everything you wanted, are you sticking to your resolutions? lemme know!!!!

i had a great christmas, friends in town from all over, spending time with the fam, and i had christmas day off... for the first time in 5 years!!! it felt great.
i got to spend some really good time with my boy aaron and his cool as all get out new girl friend rachel. ive got some pics ill post, but im waiting for them to email me somemore as soon as they get back from st johns (lucky fuckers). i love them, aaron and i are gonna try to go to denver for a mike patton concert in april, hes gonna fly down here from portland then we will drive over, its been a long time since we took a road trip, itll be a blast.
there is also a bit of talk about a trip to iceland next year, so keep your ears open for details.
i got some cool ass stuff for christmas, my fam got me a dvd burner (how sweet is that!!!!), the nirvana boxed set, the first volume of family guy on dvd and a few odds n endds, including the greatest movie ever
i loves me that movie, you should totally check it out, i think its where my love of penguins comes from. that and the penguin in the chipmonk movie.
my coworkers decided to get me some nice bottles of wine for christmas


the bottle on the left is a bottle of Siduri Cargasacchi Vineyard 2004 Pinot Noir 1.5L. i know that doesnt mean anything to most of you, but being a wine geek, well, it makes me giddy. its made by a great guy who i havecome to know pretty, so its nice to have. the bottle in the middle is a gift i bought for myself, a bottle of Alvear Palacios Les Terrasses Priorat 2003, a very sexy spanish wine that i just had to buy. the bottle on the right.. now my friend, that is a beast. 2003 Bodegas Numanthia-Termes Numanthia, from toro spain, my favorite wine region, this bottle... you dont even wanna knwo what this bottle does to me, especially in large format like this... i need an alone moment.....

ok, now that thats over.... back to the update
i had a great new years also. went to the hurricaine with my friend from chicago jamie and his girl kat, and sarah from work, we hung out and saw the architects, its good to see brandon rockign out and not waiting tables. sarah and i, being the wine ssnobs that we are, couldnt stomach the andre that they were gonna serve at midnight, so she snuck a half bottle of taittinger in her purse and at midnight we went out to westport road and rang in the new year with almost warm champagne and screaming at the passers by. it was awesome, great way to ring in the new year.

and as you may notice, the new profile pic is me and my loverly girl when i was in calgary last march.its a shitty pic of me, but there has never been one that wasnt... i love her cant wait to see her again. i miss her dearly, but its ok, we will be together soon, im gonna try to get her to go to iceland with us *crosses fingers*
but what the pic also means is that i finally got my laptop fixed!!!!!!!!!!!
the hard drive has been fried for a while and i couldnt change it cuz the back screws were stripped out and i could get the shell off. but my wonderful friend jamie who happens to work at the apple store in chicago told me to take it to the apple store here and they would prolly jsut be able to take the screws out for me. goddamnit why didnt i think of that?
well, i took it in, they got the screws out for me, and now i have a new hard drive and ai am a happy boy again yayyyyyy
so now that i have my lappy back im hoping to get some more pics posted of the trip to calgary with my baby and all kinds of other stuff, plus, ill be able to make you all mix cds of my impeccible music tastes.

isnt my girl jsut the hottest thing on the planet, i hope she doesnt mind that i posted it, but i jsuthad to show her off....

well, i guess thats all for now, everyone lemme know whats up with you, how yorue resolutions are going and such. me, i dont make resolutions, i consider every day an opportunity to make myself bettter, kinda like valentines day, why set aside only one day a year for the things we should be doing every day of our lives?
