Well I just got back from a much needed vacation to So Cal. It really didn't turn out at all the way I anticipated....but then again it never does. My road trip partner's grandmother died on my birthday, which also happened to be the first day of our trip. So we bi-passed the Dodger game/ Disneyland and headed straight for San Diego. At least we were close enough that she was able to be with her family but needless to say I had a lot of down time. One good thing is that I found an awesome tattoo artist in Pacific Beach and he was able to fit me in on Friday....yay new ink! I thought it was super sweet that Nick Alvarez of Guru was kind enough to come in on his day off to tattoo me...totally made my trip! Anyways, we camped for a night in San Clemente and then headed straight for Bakersfield so I could spend time with my family and see my grandpa, who isn't doing too well himself. I ate at all of my favorite spots and although short, it was really good to see the fam! It's good to be back home...I missed my kitty. Now for a nap and work later tonight.
