Damn distractions. I'm trying to catch up on a load of uni work and I keep getting sucked in here. That and Heroes is too good to miss and E4 was taunting me with colin farrell. How can I work with that in front of me? Well?
Right, I'm going to make a pot of tea and lock myself upstairs, away from distractions and work...

I just nipped over the road to get a bottle of wine and when I got home (all of 3 minutes later) there were three dogs running round the street from my house. I caught two, put them back indoors, went to get the third, couldn't catch him so headed home and he followed, got to the end of the drive and they all charged...

My parents and my sister can't ever find any of their pets when there are fireworks going off. Their dogs will hide in closets or under beds, and the cat would hide under dressers.

Great new pics! biggrin

I've had a rather productive day today. I've done washing, been food shopping, cleaned the kitchen, applied for jobs and made a massive pan of vegetable soup (I tried some, it tastes like roast dinners with about a tenth of the calories). I only mention the calories as when I want to the doctor three weeks ago I got informed that I was overweight. I...

Pretty uneventful weekend down here. Mostly just visiting with my mum & step-dad while they're in town (having been evacuated from the wildfires in their area).
windermere:
Yep, my mom and step-dad are doing good. They were able to return home about a week ago. smile

Arrgh! Today has been a bitch. Actually, all week has been a bitch. I'm working in a group of 12 people and it works out roughly like this;

4 girls and 8 boys.
3 girls are doing interior design. The 8 boys and me are doing Architecture.
3 boys and me want to do architecture as a career.
There is one boy, one girl and...

Group projects always seem to turn-out like that. I'd always try to group with the social people so that I could negotiate with them: "I'll do the work if you do the presentation." smile I did the same thing with lab partners in biology classes: "I'll do the paperwork if you do the dissecting."

I'm happy. I have two days left until the end of the group project at uni and from then on it it's me and me only. Which means I don't have to put up with people moaning about having to come in outside of lectures or not showing up apart from lectures. Or moaning about the amount it costs. Thay all have their parents bailing...

I just heard that my cousin is now a daddy. I have a brand new second cousin called Edward. I want to go see him.

P.S. My new hoover won't pick up dog hair. It's shit.

P.P.S Gemsy brought me a thermos so I can take Coffee to uni. I've been spending 5 a day on it. I love her.
curioustomcat:
I am more a cat person but it would probably also go on strike against cat hair! LOL!

...not that I am having a pet at the moment...

Hey hey, I'm back.

Been charging round like a mad woman the3 last couple of weeks as I finally started uni! 2 hours on the train each day is doing my head in though, I'll be okay once I've got reading to do but at the moment it's so boring.
Pretty much everyone I've met on my course are great, couple of people who are...

I'm reading Belle de Jour's blogs at the moment. One more thing off my list of "things I intend to do but never get around to". It's really entertaining.

Other things I never get around to:

1. Filling in the pond on the garden. I like the pond, but the fish are dead and the house smells funny as the dogs jump in the pond...

When I say fill in the pond I mean drain it and fill it in with soil and put grass back on it so there is no longer a pond. Need to do it soon before it starts raining and it fills up with water for another winter.

I will send you lots of pictures of me wearing it. Hows that?

We went up the common today to walk the dogs and have a picnic. Took Floyd and two the two dogs Gemsy had today a little Yorkie, P, and a Springer/lab x puppy, Marty. All was lovely, the sun was shining, the dogs were happy, running round, playing with the other dogs they met, we were chatting to the owners, the dogs swam in the...
