I'm beginning to get tired of owning the Christians group. There are far too many people in the group who don't think and simply parrot what the Bible says about something when an OPINION is asked for or desired. Whatever happened to original thought? Jesus was an original thinker, and these people are supposed to be "Christ-like," so why can't they follow that example?

YOU...

So... what's been going on... Been so tied up with getting married that i kinda forgot about other things in life (which is understandable, i guess...).

For one, i quit school. Kinda. I quit AI, because i'm not learning anything really useful there, and i feel like i'm wasting my time AND money. I'll be starting with Animation Mentor (.com) in January, and gettig much...

Thanks to everyone for offering Cairo and i congratulations on our impending mutual shackling. biggrin

It's a funny thing, i was thinking about marriage and all that it implies today. Cairo was dropping me off at the train station this morning, and right before we pulled up to the door, i said "Huh... we're really going to have our whole lives together, aren't we?"

I guess...

Are we this stupid?
Ok, so in the Uk, they stopped a terrorist attack on a bunch of planes. Lots of lives saved. Great news.

So now, in America, we're not allowed to take liquids, cel phones, laptops, ipods, or lotions onto airplanes, because they're afraid that any of these could be explosive devices. Does this make ANY sense? They managed to stop a terrorist...

You ask me this whole UK situation sounds a bit odd, I mean if our police force was this good they would be doing world wonders, something doesnt quite fit the pciture... I am starting to believe that 21 misterious men, terrorist attacks for 3 days stright (knowing that after the first day airports would freeze), and just such perfection at catching one or two at the airport and 20 at home sleeping with wifey... I just think Bush and Blair needed to keep this story up, things have been toquiet since september 11th why start again... I dunno its hard to believe anyting these days, for all I know its true...
Why cant the news feed us something lovely for once its a shame.. I grew up in Colombia where all you hear is ho wmany people got blown up, kidnapped, cut into pieces, tortured, people used to get shot in the street in Bogota right there and then I saw it, and I thought silly me that if I left the world would be different.. Fuck me, I was wrong.. its the same shit everywhere from north to south to west to east...

The terrorists are winning not because we can't bring mascara on the plane. They're winning because unscrupulous politicians manipulate real tragedy and real danger to their own selfish advantage. I'm not living in this country forever.

Ooooooooooo we can critique the sets now! All the art and photo students on this site are going to have a field day! I think it's a great move; and it's not like the staff can't tell the trolls from the honest crit. This should bode well for set creativity, that's for sure.

East coast camping starts tomorrow!!! Me, Cairo, Poeticdesires, and her...

Oh... i forgot something that was pretty cool.

While Cairo and i were walking back from my restaurant (we ate there because i get a good discount) Jared Leto (My So-called Life, Fight Club, Panic Room) happened to be walking thru Georgetown with some friends of his. When he walked by us (i recognized him and his identity was earlier verified by my manager) he...

Cairo's birthday was this weekend! I somehow managed to get a couple of extra days off (in retrospect i shouldn't have taken them because i am HURTIN' for money right now...) and we got to spend a LOT of time together, which we both needed and thoroughly enjoyed. She really liked her presents (note to self, next time get the kind that locks...)...

Sometimes i really think that i'm getting *old.*

I decided to go out for dinner tonight. I've been wanting to try out a couple of different local sushi places. My options within walking distance were Kampai, a small but supposedly expensive sushi restaurant, and Cafe Asia, a much larger "asian restaurant and sushi bar." I went to Cafe Asia first (it's closer). There were a...

I've been traveling about the east coast for the past month and still haven't been able to find good traditional japanese food....especially sushi frown I'm about ready to just give up and wait until I head home.

I don't think it's a sign of getting old so much as just changing what you like and don't like. It's a natural progression and it happens every seven years or so usually. wink
masquerade:
Yup, definitely old.

I find the normally irritating places can still be fun if you bring a bunch of people so you don't have to interact with the inhabitants. Dance clubs I wouldn't normally frequent by myself are fun when 10 or so of us go together.
