I feel like this site is becoming a waste. I have precious little connection to anyone here anymore. Even among my friends' list i think there are maybe seven people who i would talk to/ hang out with if given the chance, and out of those, only two who i actually DO talk to.
It has been four years after all. i've grown and changed a lot, the site has changed a lot, and has grown in size and scope, though probably lessened in terms of membership and SG psychological maturity on average. I still love the photography, but for as good as it looks, i think it feels a lot less personal a lot of the time. Maybe personal is the wrong word... if feels a lot less GENUINE.
I think that's what it is about the whole site. It all feels a lot less genuine. That's what the problem is. It's all gotten too big, too professional, too important. and while that's money in the bank for those who work at SGHQ, i honestly feel like i'm just a customer.
As a paying member, I suppose that's all i ever was, but now i feel more like a gear as opposed to someone with a voice.

I do feel similarly-I rarely look at the sets anymore-so few catch my interest.
