Well, Christmas has come and gone. It was a nice relaxing day, with lots of fun and screeching laughter from Cairo's mom (especially while we played Cranium, which was a gift for Cairo).
She got a new 24" road unicycle, which she can't wait to play with.
I got a new Nikon D40 digital SLR camera, which i can't wait to play with (all models welcome!).
She'll be getting other things in a little while (i didn't get paid till the 26th) but one thing that ended up being a kind of mutual benefit gift, was the special edition of Wall-E. There's a documentary on the second disc about Pixar's humble beginnings that got me really inspired and fired up about my own work and the things i'd like to do, but most importantly it showed me that i really can't do it alone.
I'd say i'm looking forward to the new year. I feel like a lot of things are beginning. I wonder how far i can take them.
