So, i'm at work yesterday, and one of my regular customers comes in and we're talking about my frustrations with art and school and whatnot. She asks me what i want to go back to school (again) for, and i tell her "animation." I think i mentioned something about not having the time to really concentrate on it at this point because i don't have the free time outside of work, and she hands me a business card and says "Hey, why don't you check out this website and give me a call. I'm starting my own small business and we might be able to help you." So i'm thinking that it might some kind of non profit that helps in the art community, shores up funds for independent art projects, stuff like that.

I go to the website a few minutes ago, and it's fucking AMWAY. Er, excuse me "Melaleuca, the Wellness Company."

*Organic* Amway.

I'm burning that business card.

Wow. Bummer. Have you considered looking for non-profits? At the very least, you could always live off of student loans (I know, shitty, but if that's what it takes to improve your life in the long-run, why not consider it?)...

I know one of my friends used her student loans for both tuition and rent, so I think if you get a large enough student loan it could take care of enough of your living expenses that you'd only need to work twice a week.

I don't know much about student loans, though. I'm lucky enough to go to a cheap school (10000/yr) and have a lucrative and flexible job.
