no tip!? thats seveirly uncool!
Ok, so on the first page of that thread that unApologetic linked me to, there's this long drawn out explanation of what "emo" is, and basically it's "emotional."
That, i'll cop to. Lord knows i can be emotional from time to time and especially recently with all of my awkward-feeling-ness.
But whatever. Attributing my personality to a genre of music is pretty stupid.

Wow I just ran into your SB set and it was gorgeous. You carry yourself like a dancer. Are you?
tigerwong:
Thanks Olsen!
To answer your question,i *CAN* dance, but i'm not a trained dancer or anything likehtat. I do kung fu though, so that can come off as dance depending on the moves i do. Glad you enjoyed the set!

Quote from yesterday:
"Ok, so you may not be CLINICALLY depressed, but i bet there's a little emo boy inside just clamoring to come out."
What does "emo" mean, anyway?
Seriously. I don't know.

I don't know who came up with the term, but I hate it. People use it to make fun of the music I listen to. I guess it means emotional or something like that...you know, you have to cut off half the letters in any given word if you want to make it cool
. Check out this thread. I think there may be some links to emo sites somewhere under all of the crap.
Ok, so i'm home from work. I had to buy a new pair of work pants as soon as i left (to put to use tomorrow) because the ones i've been wearing decided to tear tonight. Seems like every pair of pants i have and actually like wear out in just a few months, I guess it's because i wear them so much, but dangit...

Stick with the job that gives you health insurance, trust me I've seen what happens to folks that don't have it. and it pisses me off

I've thought about this, and decided that I don't know yet whether or not I annoy you! So I've refrained. I think you're an OK fella though.

That was really well written. I have a similar situation with my family, only I'm not black.
My family is from South Carolina. They're so deep into the south, that they feel the only reason they lost the Civil War was because they ran out of grits. Racism is abundant there, and people discriminate because they were born into that tension. I grew up in Seattle, and we have so much diversity here - sure there is still racism, you get that anywhere - but there isn't the same kind of tension, like what you're talking about in this part of the country. It's hard when I go home to visit the family because I can't stand the terminology they use when referring to African Americans. It makes me feel uncomfortable, and I can't help but think of some members of my family as Red-necks.
It's good that you're able to move past a lot of that negativity from your past. I'm still working on mine, but my family is so far away from me, it's hard to really have an impact on my relationship with them when I only get to see them once a year.
Anyway, have a great day, stud.

Oh i did call one more time the next day. But yeah calling a third time would have been a little bit much, so i restrained myself.
renfield7:
I'm not trying to slam you or anything man. So I hope you're not taking it the wrong way bro.
I'll tell you about the last girl that I asked out. I only knew her first name and where she worked. We'd had short conversations there a couple of times before. On a Monday I went to her workplace to ask her out. They told me she was off that day. Every day from Tuesday to Thursday I pretty much just missed her. Twice they asked me if I wanted to leave her a message and I declined. Friday, the 5th day, convinced that I was stalking this poor girl, I showed up and she was there this time. She knew I'd been looking for her and said that I looked so cute and scared that she couldn't say no. That relationship lasted 9 years.
Of course, people are very different from specimen to specimen. There is no "I'm right, you're wrong" dating advice that applies to every single person. But some things are usually a not-so-good idea. Stalking is one, asking in a message is another. lol.
I do hope that it turns around for you.

Quote from a conversation with Jessie a day or so ago:
Jessie: Aaww that's cute... you should date her.
Me: i dunno... i'm skeered...
Jessie: You have naked pictures of yourself on the internet and you're scared of a girl?
Me: um... yeah.

I'm a 2d guy. Naturally i'm enamored with anime, but i really just like anything that's done well, and has a good story.

I agree with Jessie.
So, i'm skipping class. I'm allowed to three times per quarter, and i'm so dog tired right now it's not even funny.
Convention this weekend was fun; i sold a piece that i totally didn't expect to (i didn't expect to sell ANYTHING). You can see that in my art folder. It did come out very nicely, so i guess i shouldn't be quite SO...

What style of kung fu do you study? I'm always curious to know what other martial artists are doing.
