oh my god! i saw the best thing ever last night. well, it was on par with the naked trapese artist - DEVO INSPIRED JAPANESE NEW WAVE PUNK!
it was awesome. the singer guitarist did all the classic air guitar moved but WITH A REAL GUITAR and he kept playing! on an audience members shoulders, then breaking flawlessly into the duck walk, then the wind mill! the kick out! on his knees lying down covered in sweat and in 1960's style "future sunglasses". playing peek-a-boo behind the bass rig.
the synth player played with karate chop chop motions like a robot.
the first band were shit but the drummer played standing up, which amused me slightly. not as much as the time in paris when the drummer played with wire coathangers, but still, pretty fucken rock.
anyway, i need to get a job. grr.
