ahh, my crazy family...
uncle ma'ake is back visiting and last night we had the following conversation:
me: "where's my presents from new zealand?"
him: "i wasnt sure what to get"
me: "well then, ill just have some peanut slabs then"
him: *blank look*
me: "ok then. mellowpuffs? [beat] toffee pops? [beat] k-bars? [beat] how about montieths? 42 below with manuka honey? grain waves? burger rings? paua? puhu? perkynana?"
him: "well, i brought you some new zealand papers."
me: "CAN I EAT THEM?!? NO! WHAT THE HELL GOOD IS NEWS! YOU CANT EAT INFORMATION! IS IT COATED IN CHOCOLATE? HUH? TELL ME THAT? WELL? IS IT?"
and then, i went into my room and cut things up till it was bed time.
ive been making a collage to send to a friend. it has a poem by alden, and pictures of rocky holding flowers and country western hicks with love hearts, and male strippers saying the first stanza.
i think it will go down well.
and cunning me is posting it anon. anon post is delicious.

and you dont get any of the above NZ things you mentioned in your journal in the UK? damn, what do you get by on without peanut slabs... i think i eat one everyday.
