anybody in the pacific northwest?
i'll be at the phoenix festival all weekend. come play!
as a costume obsessed girl, i HATE going to a party underdressed! i'm actually like this on any given day...do you ever have those days where you leave the house and you just DO NOT want to be wearing what you have on? and it bugs the shit out of you all day? i have seriously turned around 1/2 way to work, just so i can change my clothes. i'm so not a typical girly girl when it comes to a lot of things, but i'm super particular about my self-expression through costume.
anyway, the reason i mention this, is until 10 minutes ago, i had NO IDEA what this festival was all about. all i knew was that dov was dj-ing, and we'd be camping. a month ago i asked, "do people get dressed up for this thing like burning man?" and he said, "oh....maybe...but i think it'll be more like a grungy pacific northwest scene...".
so i didn't PLAN. i didn't PACK. i brought cute camping loungey stuff. i'm at work, and he's meeting me, and we're leaving straight away....
and then....AAAAACCCKKKK!!!!! i just check the website....AND IT'S A TOTAL COSTUME EVENT!!!!! there are THEME CAMPS! pictures of REALLY AWESOME OUTFITS!!!!! EEEEEEEE!!!!!
suddenly i'm spamming my boyfriend's voicemail...."ok, you have to get my two petticoats out of my closet. and bring my pasties....oh, and get all my burlesque stuff...and maybe i should bring my bellydance stuff too...and don't forget my cowboy hat..."

it's all about what persona i'll want to be in this weekend....and if it's an 'over-the-top come as your most exotic and highly created self'....welll......I DON'T WANT TO BE CAUGHT DEAD IN CUTOFFS AND A TANK TOP!
