hi everyone! i miss you...i'm not around much these days...super busy. plus...i don't know...after a while, i feel kinda tired with keeping up connections with folks i never get to see...not to negate those connections at all, but i just wish more of you could be in my material world. and i always seem to get thwarted whenever there's a local gathering. i told papawheelie that he needs to kidnap me. seriously. otherwise SG may always remain virtual.
yesterday was CRAZY. first of all, my day started off with getting up super ass early to go to The Department of Parking and Traffic
to plea bargain on the $700 that i owed in parking citations on my old stupid piece of shit that just died, just so i can sell it for $200 and get it off the street. i get in my new truck, only to discover that it's been broken into, my cd player stolen, and a most of my favorite cds as well. 
you'd think the universe would cut me a break after that, but all dpt could do for me was say i could do 118 hours of community service to pay off the tickets.
by july.
right, so tack that $700 onto my debt, thank you.
my missing cds are:
*manu chao
*bob wills: 20 greatest hits and basin street blues
*bjork--vespertine
*nancy griffith --greatest hits
*miriam makeba
*tom waits-closing time
*boards of canada--music has a right to children, and....oh shit...what was their super popular one called? it was a burned copy. hmmmm.
*telefon--telaviv
there were others i can't remember.
if anyone has these...i'll pay you to burn me a copy...in money or presents, whichever you like. i'll write you a poem. i'll sing your praises on the highest mountain. i'll give you my first born child! i'll....um....say thank you a whole bunch.
so anyway, all that, plus selling my car, getting leo a hair cut, and performing last night. whew!!
leo has a new "lion cut" and is so fucking cute that i burst out laughing everytime i see him. i'll post pics.

I haven't been able to hook up with any SGLA events in ages, so it's all just virtual for me too. Everytime there's some big gathering I can't go, and I'm always at work on weeknights.
I will make it back up your way sometime sooner than later so maybe I'll be lucky enough for a Material World meeting.
