ah crap. wouldn't you know it...as soon as i left my folks house yesterday to come back to SF, it started to snow. talked to my mom today and they've gotten 7 inches...this only happens every 5 years or so....ahhhh!! i'm so jealous!
sad thing is though...we have this incredible old oak tree in front of the house, that is a bird jamboree 24/7. the whole family loves it...we're often found at the kitchen bay window with binoculars looking at the latest critter it's attracted. it's also my favorite perching place when i'm home. all that snow was too much for it, and half of the right side of the tree fell off early this morning.

im in portland and it's cold. my truck has now been searched by 4 different police departments this week, what the fuck? dogs, rude disorienting questioning,the works... it's not like I've got grateful dead stickers on it or anything, jeez.

do me a favor would you, can the cabana boy borrow some of your clothes for a while, the dishes are starting to stack up here
