mmmm...another awesome weekend with my best friend in chico...the feather river, woody's hot springs, hothothot sun...how was yours?
today, driving around at work, two cars in front of me slowed to a stop. initially, i was annoyed...fuckin hate cars, hate traffic...until i noticed the first car pointing to their left out the window. i looked over in time to see the oncoming traffic slow...to wait for a small brown mama duck and her four ittybitty fuzzy babies to cross the road. the whole world got really quiet as all the monday business slowed down to a point of focus on these small little lives waddling across the highway. and the true priorities in life suddenly with a gasp of relief floated to the surface. and if this is what's really important to us, this chance to allow bedragled nature to do it's thing...what the fuck are we doing? what are you doing sitting at this computer? go outside and take a walk. it's summer. get a friend tonight, look at stars, listen to crickets and drink a beer.
