I was going to try posting a more upbeat blog, but I fucked up and watched the news while I was working out yesterday. The gym here only shows ESPN and our news channel which alternates between CNN, FOXNews, and MSNBC.
So myself and most everyone else in the gym are watching MSNBC discuss the killing of 5 soldiers by a 'disgruntled' Army Sergeant in Baghdad this week. And for once the media is actually spending time talking about the lack of mental healthcare in the military (not that many of us are right in the head, but I digress...) Then, just as a vet is giving his take on the shortcomings of VA medicine and so-on, we were brought LIVE FOOTAGE of Donald "I'm-an-even-bigger-douchebag-than-my-toupee-indicates" Trump and some delusional, bible-thumping whore prattling on for 30 fucking minutes about a fucking 'beauty' pageant.
Have I completely lost my mother-fucking mind? I fully realize my tendency to be an asshole, but who the fuck cares about that bastard or some fuckwit bimbo who doesn't know how to be diplomatic when she answers a question? Did someone actually think that anyone with half a brain would rather see that trifling shit as opposed to an actual social crisis? And then that twat had the audacity to thank God for trusting her with the task of fighting gay marriage! And such as...
