Crazy dreams last night, and none of them were of you.

I went to the desert to leave you behind, & ended up finding myself.
In my dream I left all that I know behind in search of something new, something better.
In this dream I found happiness, and it had nothing to do with you.
In this dream I was strong, & independent, & I only relied on myself.
I was able to things I never thought I'd be able to do, see things I never thought I'd see.
I know now what needs to be done in order for me to be happy.
This year when I go to the desert I will burn my past, which will help me ignite my future.
I'm gonna be ok, my inner strength will get me through this, along with anger & pain.
These things have always pushed me to press on, & now I will need them more than ever.
I know what needs to be done... and it has nothing to do with you.
