So I also work in film... editing, shooting, etc... sick of beating my head against a wall in LA to make ends meat and forced to do PA work, but don't expect it to be much better in Portland... might just pick up a job as a mechanic to pay the bills... I'm just hoping portland will get me inspired again to do something... I've decided to make photography and film a hobby instead of a livelihood... that way I can do whatever I want and not have to sacrifice my integrity to edit some student film by some brat who has a rich daddy and no talent who just made the film to sleep with hot actresses and who believes that an editor should be able to make shit look like roses and that it has nothing to do with the fact that it was horribly shot and makes no sense, has no coverage and is lit like a infomercial... Yeah, I need to get out of LA and back to the NW... I'm getting jaded... but I really think that if I do my dreams as a hobby and make a living some other way, then it will take the stress off of succeeding and I can actually enjoy doing it again just for the sake of the art and the pleasure it gives me, not the paycheck... wait, what paycheck?
