Dear Diary,
Gosh how I would love to find a job. I am going to be a cameraman for an independent feature, but they are going to defer my payment. I certainly hope that they get a kick ass distrib deal.
In other news my little brother drives me crazy. Fifteen year old roommates suck. Plus he is totally on this "Gangsta" trip that is so nihilistic. He honestly doesn't see himself living a good life. I try to help and maybe this whole change of venue will work out. I am afraid for him though. I guess I was pretty bad when I was a teen (I was into "Industrial" nihilism), but I wasn't into violence as much as he is. While I thought life sucked I at least thought that it could change though my actions. He just wants to join a gang and kick some heads in. So much aggression.
Portland is nice but sometimes I really miss San Francisco. I have so many friends there and of course an established routine. Work, play, work, play. Here it seems that I am just asleep. I am in a rut. I was in a rut in SF but at least it was a fun productive rut. PDX is so lonely for me. I really should hang out with my friends here. It's hard though with the wife and kid, I don't want to "abandon" them. I would really like some steady work.
