Halloween
Had a great party that Friday, to which I forgot to bring my camera. Even better, though, was a visit by my friend Laurel, current roommate of my odious ex-girlfriend but all-around awesome person nonetheless. We watched a long list of movies and had a most excellent 3 days worth of Halloween.
A week later I was off to Newark, NJ, to visit old friends from Syracuse, most of whom I hadn't seen in 10 years. Fantastic group of guys with whom I spent many a fine hour gaming and dining.
Lastly, after 10 years pissing away taxpayer dollars with the Dept. of Correction I left. Decided I need a few weeks before starting the 14 month death march of nursing school with UNC-Chapel Hill. Co-workers were quite generous in their donations to the cause, with funds enough to cover half the costs of my first semester's books. Pics of me with co-workers isn't terribly exciting, so I'll leave it at that.
So I've spent most of my free time getting vaccinations and tests for school, flying through my Netflix listings, reading a bit, and waiting for my textbooks to arrive so that I can get a head start. January 9th is an all day orientation, and I start on the 14th.
