Huddled in the dark shadows of time - alone
Thoughts swirling above and through me - a tempest
Above, below, side to side, my empty home
Bleary, dim images of tired years play out
Upon the stage of yesterday, of days gone past
Haunting me like a thousand demons from hell
Under tight closed lids my eyes still cast
A blanket of sorrow upon my empty shell
Thrusting winds of time rush along - beating
There I see - acting out on the bleary stage!

With trembling hands I reach in vain
at air grasping, screaming in despair
So alone I sit - in my black empty void
Me and my regret and a stage forever playing
