How the hell did it get to be Monday again???
I spent most of yesterday reading, thus avoiding the usual Monday morning ritual of frenzied skimming So while Im relieved this morning, I cant help but feel cheated out of some of my weekend me time.
Begging the question: Whats more preferable, being behind and generally crazed at work, but taking full advantage of the weekend, or being caught-up and generally prepared at work, but at the expense of personal time?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know: strike a healthy balance.
Oh well
The Pixies were in town Friday night, so that made me a very happy little boy. And P.E. got to see me as animated as shes ever likely to see Well, in public, anyway.
Started looking for a new car on Saturday. Believe it or not, after ten years of living in L.A., this is the first time Ive had to buy a car out here. The last one was purchased back home from the dealership our family has used for the last twenty years So while Im aware that car salesmen arent exactly known for their how shall I say(?), stellar personalities and tact, Id never had to endure one personally.
As P.E. astutely commented, all you wanna do is test-drive a car, not be gang-banged!
Are there jackasses out there who actually buy the first car they look at??? I mean, there must be, otherwise these salesmen wouldnt apply the pressure to do so, right? I dont know how much plainer I can be than, Im just looking right now. Granted, when the guy saw my baby face, he probably figured he was dealing with a kid barely old enough to drink, rather than a guy well on his way to discovering that he has a favorite chair.
Whatever the case, one things for certain: the next dealerships I go to, Im wearing a BIG crucifix and wreathe of garlic. Hopefully thatll send a clear signal

Luckily the photographer got a few candids. We took our dogs and they were running around with my husband most of the time, but every once in a while, they would run into the shot. Nothing like vacation pics with me being naked in every shot.
