Heres some irony for ya:

As a child, and right up through college, I hated reading. I mean, I despised it. Luckily I was always an intuitive little shit and could bluff my way through book reports.

Now, I read for a living.

To be fair, when Im reading for pleasure (History, mostly. Fiction just aint my bag though I enjoy writing fiction More irony! ) and going at my own pace, I do enjoy it. Not so much the act I dont understand people who read to relax but I love having new thoughts to mull over.

Basically, I likes the ends, just not the means.

I truly hope that someone finally invents osmotic books; ya know, pop the book under your pillow and wake up the next morning with the story in your head.

Yeah, that would be grand

Eh, Im just bitching. My reading pile is starting to look more like a reading pillar, and the foreknowledge that 98% of it will suck donkey balls is bumming me out. If work just stayed at work, that would be one thing. Unfortunately, this shite follows me home.

Oh well, its Friday and Ive been promised Disneyland on Sunday!

Thats all that really matters.
