Well first off, thanks for all the happy Birthday wishes. They were much appreciated.
All and all, it was a pretty quiet birthday just the way I like em. I spent the vast majority of the weekend with P.E. We hit not only the Ripleys Believe It Or Not Museum, but the Hollywood Wax Museum AND the Museum of Jurassic Technology! If those arent the ingredients for a perfect birthday weekend, I dont know what are.
I just love taking a newbie to The Museum of Jurassic Tech. No two peoples reactions are the same. The only thing that sucked is the fact that so many people know about it now. When I first started going, it was one of L.A.s best kept secrets. There were times Id literally be the only person there. But not anymore
Oh well. The upside is they finally seem to have enough money to keep the majority of exhibits in working order. Before it was something of a crapshoot.
In between we did a lot of eating and drinking and stuff. Evil got me a nifty set of Star Wars Legos: The Mos Eisley Cantina complete with Lukes speeder and a Dewback! It even came with little Han and Greedo figures! So cool! (Han will always shoot first in my Cantina!) Though I had to lovingly scold Evil, reminding her that my obsessive compulsive personality will demand that I buy more and more sets. She just smiled and explained that that was part of her master plan.
Beauty and diabolical brains a dangerous combo indeed.
Lets see What else? Oh! Another of her little siss basketball games. I tell ya, I think Im kinda starting to get into em. I may even start betting. And she took me to this I dunno how to explain it conglomeration of shops and mini-museums. It was our intention to check out the doll museum, but it was closed. But perhaps even more unfortunate, the reptile museum was open. Ya see, I hate snakes Jock! I hate em!
So yeah, I was recoiling and yelping like a little girl the entire time.
OK, theres more but I needs to get back to it. Hope yall are peachy!
