OK, Im back
I decided that since all the cool kids were getting colds, I should get one too. Not the worst one Ive ever had, but enough to knock me out of commission for a few days. But hey, it provided an excuse to make Friday a half day. Theres a bright side to everything.
I saw The Aviator on Saturday and all I can say is fuggin great! I usually cant stand DiCaprio, but he really pulled it off. If you have any interest in aviation, any interest in the history of Hollywood, or you just like biographies, go see it ASAP.
Hung out with PERHAPSEVIL on Saturday night and ate at an English pub down in Santa Monica. They got real live Brits and everything! I dont know why people complain about English food. I love me the shepherds pie and bangers and mash. But then I guess Ive always been a meat and potatoes guy at heart. I stuffed myself silly when I was London.
Later we tried to watch Meet The Feebles...
Did exceedingly little on Sunday Laundry was the highlight. Though I did pick up the first season of Millennium. This will likely offend many, but I liked that show way better than the X-Files.
Yes, let the beating commence
And hey, why dont they release an X-Files conspiracy boxed set; you know, a set that just includes the core episodes and dispenses with the random filler?
Anyway, got a call from the boss on Sunday night saying that we had Monday off after all. And let me tell ya, thats one of the best calls you can ever get.
Sunday I saw Phantom of the Opera with Evil. Not bad, not bad at all. Though I think the guy playing the Phantom was probably the weakest singer. That was a bit disappointing. Though he really worked that cape. He was all twirls and throws... Makes me want to own a cape. You can make a hell of an entrance with a cape.
Anyway, having seen the stage version, I appreciated how everything was pulled back a notch for the big screen. Everything was just a bit less theatrical and more I dont know; intimate, maybe?
Im sure Im forgetting something, but I gotta get crackin. Sorry if Im slow to respond, but I gotta play catch up from being sick.
Hope you are all well.

Feel better sir! BTW, I think working a cape is like dancing--you can't think about the dramatic motions too much or you'll get nervous and screw it up. Work it like no one's watching.
