I have so little to report, it's scary. So little in fact, that I give you a profile pic that is actually me... Not that it's a good one, but hey, that's Nebraska for ya...
So far as I can tell, most of the old high school crew didn't bother coming back this year. ...Which isn't all that surprising considering how many have succumb to marriage and children. Thus I've just been sitting around getting fat and drunk with the parents. That's one of the nice thing's about about coming from an Irish family: Mom thinks you're too thin and Dad thinks you're too sober.
And man, did pull in a nice stash of loot! I got me a new ipod! ...Which means I now have to get my computer's CD drive working again so I can begin the great music transfer of 2005. I'm so looking forward to being able to hear any old song whenever I want. One minute it'll be the pixies, the next the Flash Gordon soundtrack! Awesome!
I also got this:
My parents know me frighteningly well to have picked this out. God love 'em!
I'll probably continue to veg through the weekend and then get myself back into work mode on Monday. One thing Nebraska is not short on is peace and quiet. I'm hoping to have a (very) rough draft of the next script done by the time I get back, but I'm suffering through third act writer's block at the moment. Everything is reading well, but it's just not wraping up. I know it sounds crazy, but most people seem to appreciate a point to a story.
But I am looking forward to getting back, as a certain someone has promised to accompnay me to Disneyland. This makes me happy.
Oh, and here are the pics of my mulleted cohort that I promised:
Merry Christmas!!!
