The day of the turkey cometh
For it was written in the chronicles of Gobbler the Wise that each year a great purge would befall the brotherhood of turkeys. The foul hairless apes, wishing to slake their hunger on the flesh of the docile bird, would beset the peaceful turkey villages. Again and again they would come, bringing with them a cornucopia of horror; oh woe to the yams, woe to the potatoes and woe to the pie fashioned from a gourd Such will be turkeykinds fate until the coming of Turkanimus the Just; he who shall free the turkeys and lead them to salvation...
Guess who had too much coffee this morning!
I was just thinking, there are a lot horror films associated with holidays: Halloween; Silent Night, Deadly Night; Mothers Day; My Bloody Valentine; April Fools Day, etc But there doesnt seem to one for Thanksgiving Hmmm I betcha an Indian-- er, excuse me, a Native American filmmaker could come up with a real humdinger
THANKSGIVING DAY Once the Pilgrims land, yer screwed.
Mom and Dad will be in later tonight Fine by me. If I can avoid flying over the holidays, I remain a much saner person. Im meeting em down in Anaheim, as that puts them closer to friends they like to visit. Again, this is good for me as it keeps them from entering my apartment. Bracing for parental visits is always a challenge. I mean, though certain things may be a common sight to you, they often appear as strange, perverse, or perhaps even illegal to our elders
Anyway, enjoy your feasting and the long weekend!

There's a scary movie called Uncle Sam so you could classify that one under The 4th of July.
