It looks like an A-bomb went off behind our apartment.
Those who keep up will remember that our neighbor slipped and fell due to the inevitable changing of the seasons; leaves and berries fall. She slipped upon them. She broke her wrist. I appreciate that. I've done the same. It's a genuine sonofobitch. But such is life.
You'd think that a few more years on this Earth would mean that she could appreciate the same... but no... She obviously scared the management into legal recourse.
And now every leaf has been sheared from the branches. Yes, they always do a fall shearing, but this was a premature demolition.
I'm no tree-hugger, but I know when the mechanizations of man have taken an unnecessary toll.

The first group are the legislatures who pass stupid laws and don't pass smart ones. Many of them have legal training but a lot do not. Many of the people who end up writing laws dont know shit about law. That is where part of the problem starts. Many of the rest just don't fucking think.
The second group are greedy plaintiffs. Without them stupid lawsuits are not possible. They are the ones who turn a relatively small percentage of litigation happy lawyers into a pariah. There are a lot of reasons to hate lawyers, but really our litigation happy society wasnt caused by them, the reverse is true, a litigation happy society and an incompetant legislature created a small group of unscrupulous lawyers and allowed them to disproportionately represent their profession in the public eye.
That being said lawyers do tend to suck. The practice of law sucks even more. Its just that the real reasons why they suck are totally different than those suggested by the general public.
Ok end of rant. I think it sucks that the tree got fucking sheared. Hope your day/week gets better.
