I have a feeling that this is gonna be a long weekend. The parentals are in town, and though Im always happy to see them, the timing could be better. Sans the Woman, I worry that Ill feel like Im twelve years old again
Speaking of the Woman I got the I dont hate you and hope we can be friends email this week. Which, honestly, was a bit of a relief; just knowing thats shes OK and whatnot. She reminded me that we have tickets for this thing in late September Is that too soon to test the friend waters? Cause Im both reluctant and excited by the idea of seeing her
Complications, complications, complications
I was so happy to find a pair of sunglasses that Id forgotten about. And just as it looked like I could ditch the Elvis shades these sunglasses crumbled CRUMBLED in my hand. It was the damndest thing I ever saw. I barley touched em. It was like they suddenly lost their molecular stability.
Oh, and the car? A mere $1200 and shes as good as new Naturally, only minutes after leaving the shop and getting on the freeway, a car ahead of me had a blowout, sending the shards of its tire crashing under my own Ah, Murphys law
And speaking of being a Murphy, my friends took me to a cheesy meat market last night. (Thank God for alcohol) And of course the one girl I end up talking to? Shes a Murphy. I dunno I mean, sure, the Murphys are the Smiths of Ireland, but still Can you have sex with someone of the same name? Outside of marriage, that is?
I finished a script this week and sent it off to the manager. I cant wait to hear how no one is buying this kind of material right now.
On a brighter note, I went ahead and bought tickets to the upcoming Pixies show. Im broke, but happy. I splurged and went for the best seats available. I figure I owe to myself. And hey I got an extra teeecket Thats right, ladies: you may commence throwing yourselves at me NOW!
And my random thought of the day: a saucy new reality show called Girls Gone Oscar Wilde.
