Ugh Sick The woman infected me Id take the day off but theres too much going on As usual I gotta get shit together this week as Im taking two days off next week. Thats right, its Comicon time!
I actually had to work a booth last year. One of the worst experiences of my life OK, thats a gross exaggeration, but my God Standing in one place having the same inane conversation again, and again, and again
Anyway, its about the closest thing that Ill get to a vacation this summer. Luckily the woman actually enjoys that stuff too, so well be able to get in a little time together. Its been tough lately. I mean, she works seven days a week and then does theatre and school by night. Its put a strain on things and exacerbated what should be small problems. At least thats the way Im trying to see it. I guess theres also the possibility that if we had plenty of time together, we might realize that we hate each other...
(And a word of caution, though its probably goes without saying to you people with half a brain ((Im currently up to a quarter!!!)): never say that 90% of your significant others friends are idiots. Not even when you preface that with the acknowledgment that 90% of your own friends are idiots. Shell only hear the part about her friends.)
Anyhoo, we hit Disneyland on Saturday night. It had to be done. Four words: Haunted Mansion action figures! (No, not crappy movie Eddie Murphy figures. Actual characters from the ride!) I admit to a strange, obsessive fascination for that attraction. Anyway, we popped in around nine when the crowds were dying down, had diner, a few drinks, rode the Mansion and Pirates and got a couple nifty toys for the desk at work. Weird part is we actually bumped into some friends there. How do you run into people at Disneyland? Anyway, it turned out to be a lovely evening indeed

I made that 20 year promise to myself when I started 20 years ago. I try real hard never to squelch on my promises, so it means a lot to me to quit.. Good luck on that "30 year plan"
