i am still up island and having fun. however, one of the scariest things happened to me yesterday morning. we were supposed to leave for tofino bright and early but we were set back. i awoke to a room full of smoke being screamed at because the mattress was on fire. the light over my bed had fallen and the wiring was fucked up so it kept turning on and off all by itself. almost all the bedding was ruined however i was able to salvage some with the help of a sewing machine. kind of a strange start to an otherwise beautiful day.

tomorrow is the first part of my move so i must get sleep tonight.
