First off I think thanks are in order to everyone involved in putting on last nights Toronto gala namely Lucy, Cereal_killer and SPEEDPHREAK.
I couldn't get there till after midnight and unfortunatly missed all of the festivities and by which time I'm told that alot of people had cleared out. I was probably there for all of 5 minutes cause I felt really awkward and out of place and OLD hahah, but thanks to Dagger for saying hi, it made me feel less scary for a minute
I did run into a few people that I do know on queen st on my way home and that was interesting, some ex bandmates, old friends and people I hadn't seen for many years, all in all it was an interesting if short venture.
I think I might even go out again tonight ... ok so I'm just gonna walk up to the Varsity Theatre and check out X3 but hey that's going out ..kinda.

Nick: Hey, aren't you coming to see my Q&A?
Jovanka: Well, yeah, uh, I planned on it, cuz I'm a huge fan and all but I have this other screening to get to and...
Nick: Don't worry about it, we can talk later.
Jovanka: Huh?
Nick: Here's my number, I'm having a party later at my hotel. Please come. It's by invite only.
Jovanka: Oh wow, I'd love to.
She extends her hand for a shake. Nick takes it and smiles.
Jovanka: Look it was great meetingyou, but I really gotta run, and you should get to your Q&A, there's a ton of people in there waiting for you.
Nick: Right.
Nick smiles and finally lets go fo her hand.
Jovanka: Loved the movie by the way.
She says as she turns to scurry off.
Jovanka: Oh, and you look great for your age!
Nick: Thanks, I think! (laughs) See you later love!
What the Hell was I thinking??!! "You look great for your age!!" And to top it all off - I DIDN'T GO TO HIS PARTY. I'm such a loser! I was worried that his party could consist of just two if ya know what I mean so I didn't go!!!
So that's my Nick Cave story. Thouht you might get a kick out of it.
