Good morning to all of you out there in SGLand! kiss It is actually a beautiful day here in good old New York, and even though i only had about two hours of sleep- I'm feeling like this day is going to be a GREAT one biggrin It could be this:

And if you're only here for the naughty pics- refer to last blog tongue

Firstly, I would like to introduce you all to a WONDERFUL guy: WolfyOne. He is possibly one of THE coolest people i have ever met and is a sweetheart to boot. Just the fact that he goes by nickname "Bluto" should be sufficient introduction. So! all of you ladies out there, and all of you guys that are just decent SG goers- go say a little hello. He's new on the site and deserves some attention; he actually has intelligent things to say, which goes a long way these days and! ...just because he's that awesome. wink We all know what it's like to be new around here, so there's my little plug/ vouch of the day. He's good people. That I can assure you. A little quirky, but aren't we all around here wink
Which led me to these: (I love this quote!)

And I was thinking I would do things a little differently today. Usually, I do my word of the day later:
But I found a good one this AM, so I thought I would share a little early...

WORD OF THE DAY:

hypaethral adj *1: having a roofless central space 2: open to the sky

*In Egypt, we visited the hypaethraltemple of Philae, which was dismantled and relocated after the construction of a dam caused its original site to be submersed.

The ancient Roman architect and engineer Vitruvius used the Latin word hypaethrus to describe temples in which the cella (the part of the temple housing an image of the deity) was wholly or partially uncovered. Hypaethrus is a word sculpted from the greek prefix hypo-, meaning "under or beneath," and the Greek noun aither, meaning "air" or "heaven." In the late 18th century, English classicists adopted the remodeled form "hypaethral" in their writings about ancient architecture. Another adjective that they occassionally employed is "cleithral," which designates temples having roofed central spaces. ("Cleithral" comes from kleithra, the Greek word for "lattice.")

The fabulous Ta2dFreek unintentionally helped me pick that out today...we were discussing Greek mythology yesterday and it made it stand out wink But...I really like the word because if there is ever something I want before i die, it is one of those rain pools that were so common in wealthy Roman households...

OH! And one of these biggrin DEFINITELY one of these love

Or, even better: THIS!

with a bit of THIS added in biggrin

Alright, so enough of this nonsense. I have decided to, while i am working full time in retail again, start building up an inventory for my own business. Along with the dream catchers, i am going to be making jewelry, stationary, paintings, perhaps selling prints, hand-made door beads, mosaic pieces (anywhere from ornaments to fountains and bird baths), pewter bookmarks with semi-precious attachments, witty/decorative signs with notable quotes/sayings etc., and a bunch of other unique gift type items. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. What would YOU want to buy from a unique gift shop? Your feedback would be GREATLY appreciated so please, don't hold back and say whatever comes to mind!!! Thanks as always!

Until later, loves!
kiss
