well FUCK ME! Here I am freaking out because my hubby went back to work, which means I'd be stuck at home alone all day, and THEN! I get a call from my old boss at Hot Topic, who is now Store Manager for PacSun...and she needs a PT Keyholder, which is perfect as far as hours go with my son and child care costs etc. and then she's probably going to be firing the PT assistant manager, which is another step up, and i'd be replacing him! FUCKING AWESOME! I mean, it's retail AGAIN, which sucks just because i consider myself more of a paid actress than a manager, but at least it's comfortable.

Christine (XTine, as we lovingly call her) was the store manager while I was at Hot Topic, and I was her second in command, so we already know that we work extremely well together. The only funny thing is: one of my subordinates at Hot Topic is now the Part Time Assistant at PacSun as well. So now-I'll be working under her. ---- Don't get me wrong, she's a great girl, but as far as experience, initiative and know-how goes, I blow her out of the water. And that isn't me being conceited, it is just fact. Common sense was never her strong suit, if you catch my drift ...

At least, if they fire the other assistant, I'd be on the same level as her once they moved me up...but for right now, I know that there will be several times a day where i'll be shaking my head (wishing i could bang my head against the wall instead) saying, "are you really asking that question, dear?" I just know that once I learn the nuances of the different company, I'm going to be doing more of the work and making more decisions than she does.

EITHER WAY! HELL YES!!! I am getting out the house for the first time since February 2009 when Hot Topic closed our location!!!! I can feel my sanity coming back already... HAPPY DAY!!!!
