planning on taking more face shots later; practice makes perfect, you know...i feel like i'm spinning my wheels here...i just want to get a set up as soon as possible...one photographer who has never done an SG set, one that has gotten their into MR and set of the day, and a staff photographer...should i wait on submitting a set until the staff photographer has availability, or should i just get one up, so my name gets out there? and then do the other sets? or do them all so i can hopefully submit in more rapid succession? the athazagoraphobia set was taken by my amazing friend Andrea Ouellette; i love her work...i just don't know what to do!!! Advice? anyone out there?

i personally found a great local photographer who I had met out at a show. i asked him to do the sg shoot and he did it for me for free. That set, lackadaisically, was our first time meeting up and putting our heads together about the shoot. We took a bunch of photographs in my living room to test out lighting and poses and what not... But, I liked the pictures so much that I just submitted them anyways. I got 93, so thats not bad, and I definately got my name out there. My friends list doubled in size so thats great.

If you can find someone who you really like their portfolio and they are professional and you feel safe working with them then I think you could do it without a staff photographer.

The other thing I think about staff photographers tho.. is that they themselves have fans. Like... if I see Alyssa shot the set, I will click on it even if I am not attracted to the girl in the set and most the time I like it because its so good.

Wow... obviously I have a lot of opinions on the matter! lol, im such a nerd. but... maybe it helped?
