i personally found a great local photographer who I had met out at a show. i asked him to do the sg shoot and he did it for me for free. That set, lackadaisically, was our first time meeting up and putting our heads together about the shoot. We took a bunch of photographs in my living room to test out lighting and poses and what not... But, I liked the pictures so much that I just submitted them anyways. I got 93, so thats not bad, and I definately got my name out there. My friends list doubled in size so thats great.
If you can find someone who you really like their portfolio and they are professional and you feel safe working with them then I think you could do it without a staff photographer.
The other thing I think about staff photographers tho.. is that they themselves have fans. Like... if I see Alyssa shot the set, I will click on it even if I am not attracted to the girl in the set and most the time I like it because its so good.

Having a bad knee is no fun. I should know I got one that has been giving me problems for about 15 years. At least they think surgery can help you. When getting an exercise program going you want to make sure that it is something you enjoy. Otherwise you will not want to stick with it. As for how you think you look, trust me darlin you look fantastic. Hope this helps. By the way the new pics look amazing.
