too funny! well, not for the baby, i'm sure but- grandparents are the best for that stuff- my great aunt used to soak baby marshmallows in brandy and pop him in her kid's mouth like candy- now, we'd have CPS at the door in 45 minutes lol so yeah, i try to avoid that, and thus deal with the screaming with a twitch and a smile!

when my daughters were teething we used to rub this hippy tincture on there that was sweet and I am pretty sure alcohol based. There was some discussion as to what worked the soothing herbs or the alcohol and I think we decided that it didn't matter because it was good for 10 or 15 minutes of peace and did no harm.
