i noticed that when things are going badly they seem to go very badly. on the other hand when things are going well i don't notice how very well they are going. i need to attend to that. i read somewhere that one should "glance at failure and gaze at success". that is the mantra of my day.
wow, i can't believe it has been two weeks. sounds like the start of a bad commercial. i have been to the wall emotionally and realized this morning that i don't live there anymore and since it hurts so much i am not going to stay and visit anymore either. i wonder why learning experiences tend to hurt so much. is this just me?

some where pretty short... the last one took about a week or so to write... a hard one... angsty/angry... not fun.
the next few will be easy ones... one is going to be painful... the 13th one... i'm probably going to leave till last.
feh, always the hard ones last. but the most poinent... after taht... see what happens. i'm learing little lessons from all of them.
where have you been anyways?

i am putting on my high heeled boots and i am stepping out in cow town. i am sad that the king eddie is closed because that was my favorite "go out and get hammered" bar.

I'm more of a kink night man myself, generally don't even go there anymore.
zenfish:
Last friday of every month, Detours (the gay bar) has a kink night... think of anyone from regular clubbers. to all out fetish people... to drag queens... at a club... it's great fun.
so when i woke up today i had zero sg friends, and now i have 3. that makes me smile.

Don't listen to Sabre. Actually, do. He's a sweetie.

Yes, I see you're in Calgary. I've been there a couple of times, but the last time was almost 20 years ago, so I'm sure things have changed. Get a hat....it can't hurt!
Trains have always been a symbol of loneliness for me. Especially the freight trains. The Amtrak Denver Zepher passenger train runs each day through my county, but we have about 1 freight or coal train per hour, going through 24/7. I've known a few locomotive engineers who tell me that it can get lonely on the long runs, so maybe that's where it comes from. But mostly I think it's the whistles....especially the old ones.....blowing from far off in the dark of night, that seem the lonliest.
I'll add you as a friend, if you'd like to accept.....4 seems like a good round number for you to have today.
