i woke up as usual.
as i was desperately trying to open my espresso maker to get the coffee going i heard the unmistakable sound of a large truck reversing. the 'bleep, bleep, bleep' was familiar. i looked out the kitchen window and, to my horror, saw the garbage truck turning around on my street.
"eeks," i thought "i forgot to take out my garbage!"...

thanks!
She realized that she could smell him, from across the room. He had been running, sweating and was wearing a vaguely familiar cologne.
So, do you have to pay for the stuff you lost, she was buying into his lies, for surely, lost does not accurately describe items left in abandoned in a car one jumps out of while being pursued by the police. He...

i have been thinking about fear.
i have been paralysed by fear. i have been scared shitless of somethings and done them anyway. i have feared things that never came to pass. fear used to rule me and now i laugh at it.
what is it that makes us fearless about somethings? why am i fearless about doing one thing and you another? is the...

Courage. Having courage means being affraid but still being able to do what needs to be done in spite of it. I dont know I thought this may apply to your situation a little.
have you ever thought you were misunderstood, only to find out that the person understood you very well and was using the knowledge to manipulate you?
mevsyou:
There is nothing quite like the feeling of being totally used. Sorry to hear it
i feel odd. i had a great learning and it hurt. i wrote a long journal entry yesterday and then deleted it, but i could not figure out how to make it go away completely.
i felt sad. when i was driving i smiled at a squeegie guy and he did my windows for free. it snapped me back to reality. i told him i...

You know, it's quite funny but I speak with a slavic accent almost everytime I hang out with my brother. Plus a cockney accent.
And a few others. We've both been obssessed with sound since we were kids. I just took it a bit more seriously and made a career out of it.
We used to drive our parents completely nuts.

It was almost midnight there was a gentle knock on the door. she was surprised. a number of thoughts passed through her mind as she went onto the balcony to see who was at the door. She saw a figure in a white shirt going around the hedge.
Hello, did you just knock on my door? she said, curious now.
Yes, I was just in...

This is your story? I have to check back to see how it ends. You are right about the cop though I do need to keep his number just in case.

I'm pretty sure my dorkness fully eclipses yours. I suppose *someone* had to be my #1 match, sad for you it happened to be. . . you. As for BBSes. . .

today i had to go into biker world. i am always surprised by how conforming those "non conformists" really are. they have uniforms and status.
silverrevolver:
The true non-conformists are very hard to pigeon-hole, because the only standard and ideal they conform to is their own. It's not an act of rebellion, rebellions are meaningless, it is purely an assertion of self and nothing more.

sometimes it is the smallest ideas that define moments. for her it was the realization that the situation was devoid of a sense of exploitation. when she noticed that she did not feel exploited she was overwhelmed with guilt, believing that she must be exploiting him, for exploitation had been part of her sex life for so long.

Thanks for the comment at the writers' group! By the way, I just noticed that one of your favorite movies is "The Gods Must Be Crazy" - it's great, and I was positive no one else had ever heard of it!
have you ever noticed that late at night after consuming too much alcohol things that may seem like a bad idea in the daylight actually seem like a good idea? inhibition, apparently, can be my friend.
