well i am done one of the tasks that i have stoically avoided for the last several weeks. my house is looking great due to "avoidance by cleaning", which is a fringe benefit of my process.

my thoughts are now turning to.... ah yes, baseball!

PICKCHURS!!!

heh heh, the only time I ever want to take pics in here is right after I go nuts cleaning....

whew, i am glad that is over.....

i hated yesterday. my former husband phoned to wish me a happy anniversary. hello we are NOT married anymore. puke puke puke

my procrastination has risen to a new level i just counted my canadian tire money and i have $9.35. canada is great.

updated to add that i have now cleaned my bedroom, discovered i have no more vacuum cleaner bags, and am now considering cleaning the bathroom. i only have one hour and five minutes until the deadline day is here and i can count...

wooo Hoo!

My max was $22.00

I had those damned things stuffed in my glovebox, the junkdrawer in the kitchen, an old mason jar full of sheckles, egyptian pounds, drachma and shillings... in a drawer in my computer desk etc etc... They were everywhere.

Finally, after about 10 years of never DOING anything with them, I finally went on a full bore scottish-hat-man scavenger hunt and collected them up in all their stained and crumpled glory.

This was last summer, and I was so happy to finally be able to walk into the canadian tire store up in Squamish on my way out camping, I was so happy to finally be getting rid of ALL of it! They have no limit on how much you can use at once, so I bought some firewood, kerosine etc. Finally shedding the last 10 cent note.

Then, with my change, the cashier handed me two 20 cent bills and a 5 cent one.

Fuck.. it's like a virus.

Thanks. In a few weeks, I will begin selling prints of my work. smile

i am thinking about the same sex marriage legislation. it is a diversion from what i need to be doing, but as usual i am enjoying watching other people's realities.

first, i wonder what the politicians in this particular part of canada will do to try and escape from this enlightened legislation.

second, it occurs to me that this is not about love or emotion...

one of the problems with procrastination is that when i put things off to the point where my time is budgeted to the nth degree life always throws a curveball. i have been putting off doing an application for ages and as the june 30 deadline looms i find myself being required to be elsewhere.

fuck. i hate that.

for me "works well under pressure"...

lol best euphemism ever. I love it. I also find it interesting you put a baseball reference in there. Thinking of the ball player are we?

i am not a good hospital support person. ew.
pica_pica:
well, hospitals are notoriously heavy. I know I couldn't hold one up.

ok, seriously though.. I know what you mean. I don't do well in that position either.

I hope everything is ok.

do you ever start crying for no apparent reason?

sometimes it happens to me when i least expect it and often in the privacy of my car. i used to cry bitter tears but now they are more likely to be tears of joy and reverence.

a tornado touched down on the prairies last tuesday. it was close to where i used to work. i...

tell me about it. A clean house is such a fasttrack into getting your own brain and soul back on track,.... yet it's some sort of cruel catch 22.... when your brain and soul are on some fucked up road trip to some lonely, one dog town, I personally couldn't give a crap about the stack of dishes I see in the reflection off of my computer monitor.

chicken or the egg?

mmmm omlettes.

today i dropped in at my mum's and she asked me to give her a ride to the walk-in clinic. she ended up going to the hospital by ambulance. i am facing the concept of mortality in a way i have not before.

I hope everythings all right. I faced my own mortality at a very young age.

WHOA

shit, I'm sorry to read that! I hope everything is ok, and just something slightly out of whack that needs a straightening.

i have an expectant longing for i know not what. i feel like i am waiting without knowing what for. is this a lesson in patience, i wonder.

i spent a few days in a bizarre fog. i am crediting it to the solstice and the full moon occurring at virtually the same time.

i have been obsessing over some things as a means to avoid doing less appealing things with deadlines. procrastination can be afternoon delight, lunch, shopping, baseball and it can also be stinking dishes, weeds, laundry and bills.

I would hope you didn't, I wouldn't wish that on anyone! wink

I don't think it's worth worrying about, you are my friend because I enjoy your mind, and that's ultimatly what matters anyways.
