Ahhh dont say that. I am not ready for snow.

I actually didn't mind the rain today.

Don't get me wrong. I love the rain, and the thing I miss the most about Calgary compared to Edmonton is the absence of good long thunderstorms, but having two summers in a row of nothing but rain has sapped some energy from me.

That being said, today it seemed right. But snow would drive me over the edge, into a mad streaking frenzy downtown in protest of such shite.

I may not be as perceptive, but I've learned that which a person would never say, and what they would say but are holding back can be easily confused. I'd much rather not make any assumptions at all in any relationship that I valued. Listening to what is not said makes a poet's heart beat faster, but it gets me into trouble...

re: your previous entry - sounds much like my work situation - my daily commute is about 40 miles each way, with mountain switchbacks near the end, so it turns out to be about an hour drive (two total). it gets old. i've driven my poor pathfinder into the ground these past few years. our winters are nothing like yours of course, and generally my employer closes during days of hard snow, but still, i hope to be in a better situation soon. there are other reasons why of course, but a better commute will be a nice side benefit.

the OpenBSD project founder lives in calgary, otherwise i know nothing of it, but from what i can gather it seems similar to here in several ways - the cowboy/western flavor, surrounded by mountains, etc. looks like a nice place.

It was something, to watch as a lot of the better human aspects slipped away. It never ceased to amaze me, the things that went on there, the way people behaved and treated each other... It was as if working with the machines all day made them less human.

Hmmm... if it doesn't work out, you can come and shoot one on mine. Not as nice as his I'm sure but still pretty.

I think you should get to know him a bit so you can sus out what his boundaries are.

Spin Doctors, I think...I saw them live in a shitty little bar in st marks st NYC, 3 months before they went number one on the charts.

They were okay. They were so poor they were playing this bar and passing a hat for spare change instead of getting paid.

People shooting at your work can't be a happy thing. I would probably look for a new place to work unless I love my job there.

Ok, so the litteral meaning of coincidence has merit. What I meant is how people put off coincidences as having no real meaning behind them. I personally believe that behind the small things most people over look are the true hidden treasures. You just have to catch on to them fast enough to get it.
