my finger is not broken.
i have torn the ligament, however, and i am doomed to wearing a finger splint for FOUR weeks. this is to allow it sufficient time to heal. i asked if i could take it off for typing and the doctor asked me if i wanted a droopy finger for the rest of my life. i said "no, i do not...

YOu got rebuffed.
scheisskopf:
The doctor, silly.
i'm thinking about intentions. i truly believe that most of us have good intentions most of the time. so how is it then, that such crappy things happen?
is it the case that the bad intentions of the few spread like a stain out into the world to infect the rest of us? do bad intentions spread further than good?
on another note: is it...

the concept of reciprocity is inherent in all relationships. You get what you give.
Do you give obligations?
Do you give obligations?
maddawg:
Obligation could mean a number of things, I feel it is possible to have a no obligation relationship. If obligation is an issue then it should be discussed to avoid problems.
i'm obsessed, 'tis true. my world feels upside down.
i need someone to come and do laundry and cook for me, oh, and clean. i need a maid.
edited to add: i knew i shouldn't try doing housework. i really really really hurt my finger. it is curled up and i can't make it go straight.
after some consultation with an expert (okay, my girlfriend)...

She who must not be named.
If you hear a loud bang on Monday, it's just my head exploding.
At least I have all my fingers intact.

I'm glad you came to that. What was the cause?
who i am, and where i am in the world are questions i have thought about, a lot. there were times in my life that i could not answer them and other times when i forgot to ask the questions.
lately i have answers, and the answers are different from what they used to be. yesterday was a huge day for me, as evidenced by...

optimism:
What you start off with is never going to be what you end up as. It's not possible. I can see that you realize that. Do you accept it though?
The best part is always the journey but the part that people want to hear about is the destination. I say screw them.
I am rather scattered tonight- too tired to concentrate.
Why are you so philosophical and not as mundane? I am a person that appreciates the small things.
Maybe that's why I don't like change either. I like the small things to stay the same. Big change alters everything.

I couldn't have said it any better, but if I may add that some of us have walked a similar path and may know about some of the pitfalls before you do! Our hands are here to hold onto when it's needed!

PS. Yes, in response to the last post, I did mean email or MSN. Note me.

fukidunno:
Woah! Rites of passage? I can't think of a single one, jr. high-ish? Now you totally have me wanting to know. Is this normal everyday, relationship, job, life, or what? Should I be concerned? Is this gonna happen to me? HELP!
steelbreeze:
Glad you're on the other side now!

this morning i feel i am on the walk of doom. i am out there on the plank and i really don't want to jump but i can't turn back. i have come this far and i know i must... but i just want to crawl back under the rock.
steelbreeze:
Sounds just like when I'm about to jump off a very high cliff! But at least I have trust in my "lifeline"!
Maybe you should think about finding a "rope" to secure you. Something that will tie you to that which makes you stronger?
Not sure from here, but if you want to talk, drop me a line!
PS, Sorry for the absence, parent's visiting this past week, but they're gone now!

Well, I am sure that we three shall meet again, just to continue the shakespearean theme.
